No API key is required for public directory reads. Source listings and category mentions are not verification of factory operation, current capability or membership.

GET /api/v1/factories accepts q, city, category, contact, limit (1–100, default 25) and offset. Responses include total, next_offset and factories.

Contact filters: website, email, observed-email. Categories: cnc-machining, sheet-metal, injection-mould, pcba-smt, wire-harness, surface-finishing, assembly, inspection. Inspect category_evidence before relying on a match.

Missing records return 404; invalid filters 400; unavailable registry 503 with factories:null. Do not interpret unavailable data as an empty directory. The full JSON export is available for local filtering; original source rights remain applicable.

Connect a compatible MCP client to:

Tools: search_factories with the same filters, get_factory with a record id, and registry_stats. All are read-only. The server sends JSON responses and does not require a persistent session. No tool sends messages, verifies companies, quotes prices or places orders.

Onboarding and corrections

Use the company submission form to join or request a correction/removal. It saves a private request for review and returns a status receipt. Submitting a record does not publish it or create verified membership.

Responsible use

Keep attribution, dates and verification status with copied results. Respect removals and refresh exported records. Listing a company or finding a role mailbox does not authorize unsolicited bulk messages. Data notice and correction/removal process.
